Summer Reading List

If you’re into horror/thrillers like me, you will most likely enjoy these titles. Here’s what I’ve read so far this summer:

  1. Jurassic Park
  2. The Lost World
  3. Andromeda Strain
  4. The Relic
  5. Meg: Primal Waters

With the exception of the Andromeda Strain, these stories all feature some mysterious creature that resurfaces and wreaks havoc on civilization. The Relic was my favorite thus far and I look forward to reading it’s sequel, the Reliquary.

Chestnut Locks for Sale

With all the countless ways that I’ve tried to help my husband

provide for our family, this is probably the hardest. I have been growing my hair out for almost 4 years (after practically buzzing it off after a bad perm…I just moved to Utah and wanted to fit in, I guess) and I’ve discovered that there is a market for human hair to be used in wigs.

I’m not sure what price my snail’s-pace growth of hair will fetch, but after browsing through several “sold” ads, I’m thinking that I should get a minimum of $200 for my beautiful layers. I just posted on www.HairTrader.com if you’d like to check out my ad.

Etsy Shop(s)

After carefully considering my options and the number of items I would like to offer, I thought it might be a good idea to set up separate shops for each of the major categories of crafts that I want to create. For example, I want to do crocheted blankets, scarves and hats and will therefore create a shop solely for the purpose of displaying those items. In another shop, I would like to have my oil paintings and offer custom portraits from pictures. And finally, a shop to act as an extension of my online bakery, 350 Cookie Lane.

So for a while, I may not have everything ready. But, when I do I will definitely post about it here…

Stay Tuned!

Dear Diary

This kinda goes along with the Organization post, because I found my old diary in the basement when I was starting to organize. I actually had several diaries, or journals, that I wrote in almost religiously over the years. This particular one was my very first one, starting in ‘92. That would make me 9 years old at the time…lol! How fun is that?! So, this is just an idea, but I thought I would immortalize my old journals here on my blog. What do you think?

My First Post!

Well, hello!

It’s about 10pm and my son is in bed, finally. It’s been a long busy day trying to keep the house in order and the family entertained and fed. There’s not much to report at the moment other than my sheer and utter exhaustion.

Today, I took the advice of my friend Ashley and cooked a bunch of chicken, cubed it and put it in a baggie to save for later use. Thanks Ashley! I made Ranch Chicken Wraps for dinner, with diced tomato and lettuce. It was soooo good, not to mention fast and easy to prepare!

I guess that’s all I’ve got for tonight. Stay Tuned!
